Whether you’re just getting started, or midway through a 400-page opus, or have published multiple books, the Florida Writers Conference is the one writers conference for you.
This year there are even more reasons why you should attend, ranging from the lineup of agents and editors from leading literary agencies and publishing houses, to our National Guest of Honor David Morrell, and Steve Berry, the Florida Writer of the Year.
This one-day writing conference has a variety of classes on the business and craft of writing. A photographer will be available from 10 a.m. to noon to take head shots. I will be teaching my Systematic Approach to Book Editing class at noon. Other classes include How To Get a Great Agent, A Prose Writer’s Guide to Learning from Poetry, and Productivity Planning for Writers. A book signing will start at 4 p.m., and I’ll be there with copies of Alara’s Call.
The 2018 FCWC features keynote speaker Tosca Lee, an amazing author and speaker.
My friend Shellie Arnold and I will be leading the Manuscript Critique Workshop again this year. It’s a fantastic opportunity to work on your manuscript in a fun and supportive setting.
FCWC offers an opportune week to meet agents and editors, award winning writers and others who have heard the same call to write. Come attend workshops and continuing classes that will sharpen your pen, develop your platform, and strengthen your resolve. Critique groups, meetings with agents and editors, writing contests, and camaraderie with fellow writers make this week one to remember.
If you have a dream to write but don’t know where to begin, come be encouraged and trained at the Florida Christian Writers Conference.
