Two Upcoming Seminars

I’ll be teaching two writing seminars this summer for Orange County Library System. Both of these classes will be held over Zoom, so anyone may attend. There is a field on the registration form, but it’s optional. If you don’t have an OCLS library card, just leave it blank.

Voice: Character Idiolect versus Author Style will be June 25 at 7 p.m.
Agents and editors are always looking for authors with unique voices, but what exactly is meant by “voice”? Author and editor Kristen Stieffel will discuss what voice is and how to develop yours.

Writing Vivid Descriptions will be July 30 at 7 p.m.
Author and Editor Kristen Stieffel will teach how to determine what descriptive style best fits your genre, story, and voice. Learn to engage the senses, keep descriptions in proportion, and more.

If you register for either of these events, you will receive an email with a link to access the Zoom room before the event from the event host. Neither session will be recorded, so replays will not be available.
